Very expected game when 19th ranked DutchQSTA Utd (4-32) lost to third ranked Belgian Kangoeroes (26-10) in Mechelen 80-95 on Saturday. Mechelen dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to QSTA Utd 's 26. Mechelen looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Swedish forward Zaba Bangala (201-2001) notched 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American guard Trenton Gibson (193-2000, college: Indiana St.) supported him with 24 points. Kangoeroes' coach used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Even 33 points (!!!) by guard Bart Van Schaik (193-1999) did not help to save the game for QSTA Utd . American swingman Evan Taylor (198, college: Vanderbilt) added 16 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Mechelen keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Oostende and Kortrijk. QSTA Utd lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 32 lost games.
